Qat'ah (A Poem)

Composed by Shah Muhammad Shuja' al-Din Ha'iri at the time of conferral of the khirqah (cloak of initiation):

'My helplessness has a bond with His mercy / from the beginning, my connection is with the divine compassion I also take pride — O Taj al-Din (Crown of Faith) — / that my glory (naz) is from belonging to Rafi' al-Din of Qandahar.'

Manaqib — Poem of Praise

Composed at the occasion of conferral of the khirqah of the order, month of Rajab 1353 AH / March 1953, by Shah Muhammad Qayam al-Din Muhsin Faruqi al-Qadiri al-Naqshbandi:

'O servant in need, look to the station of Shah Rafi' al-Din Remember me with longing in the footsteps of Shah Rafi' al-Din These eyes have been refreshed with the news of you We have been made joyful from the glad tidings, O Shah Rafi' al-Din Every night as a sacrifice, sacrificed every day The heart seeks intercession — O seeker from Shah Rafi' al-Din Every morning, with every heart, making the Shaykh pure Allah, the Faidh of the Gaze of Maulana Shah Rafi' al-Din And praise, what I found, the beauty of brightness is chief Natiq holds allegiance to Maulana Shah Rafi' al-Din.'

Manaqib — Another Poem

'Door of the wine-tavern of Rafi' al-Din / sip the pleasure of Rafi' al-Din Knowledge of secrets from the mystic / like a madman from the wine-house of Rafi' al-Din The Mughals' peer went with the taste / to the wine-house of Rafi' al-Din For consciousness and awareness / go to the abode of Rafi' al-Din From Allah the forsaken became yours / from the garden of Rafi' al-Din All the moths are sacrificed to the candle / candle of the moth of Rafi' al-Din With the yearning of faith came the attraction / treasury of Rafi' al-Din Acquired is the prayer of mystical knowledge / in the prison of Rafi' al-Din The crown conferred on this poor Natiq / with the royal hand of Rafi' al-Din.'

Manaqib — Third Poem

Composed by Shah Muhammad Qayam al-Din Muhsin Faruqi at the occasion of the conferral of the khirqah, Rajab 1353 AH / March 1953:

'Today the order of the khilafah is my Muhsin's means of ascent The grace of all Rafi' al-Din — the crown from these hands is the crown upon the head One knows what the eminence of Rafi' al-Din is in the heart of the people Household residences remain here — from every place the wealth of Rafi' al-Din In the affliction in which no one can help They are the Deputy of the Messenger — they are the fortification of Rafi' al-Din Muhsin also has his own Shaykhs and the silsilah's guides Is Muhsin also here of two — here he holds allegiance of Rafi' al-Din.'

Manaqib — Fourth Poem

'My chiefs are Rafi' al-Din — my masters are Rafi' al-Din There are many chains, they are the leaders of all from Rafi' al-Din Ghawth A'zam (the Greatest Spiritual Axis) also holds the protection on — helpers are Rafi' al-Din There is something in the heart to be presented — the masters awaiting are Rafi' al-Din Everywhere for one's own servants — controllers are Rafi' al-Din The one to whom the head was given as a guard — the chiefs are Rafi' al-Din Muhsin is proud of this — the pride is Natiq's pride — the nobles are Rafi' al-Din.'
