True Being
وجود حقیقی
True Being (Wujūd Haqīqī) belongs exclusively to Allah Most High. He is the Necessarily Existent (Wājib al-Wujūd) — self-subsistent, without beginning, without end, and absolutely unique in His Being. Everything other than Allah is contingent (mumkin), dependent upon Him for its existence, and would be nothing (ma'dūm) if left to itself.
قُلۡ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ لَمۡ يَلِدۡ وَلَمۡ يُولَدۡ وَلَمۡ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ
"Say: He is Allah, the One; Allah, the Eternal Refuge; He neither begets nor is born; nor is there to Him any equivalent." (Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ, 112:1–4) — This chapter of the Quran is the most concise and complete statement of Divine Oneness, refuting all forms of multiplicity, composition, and comparability in the Divine Being.
شَهِدَ اللَّهُ أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ وَأُولُو الْعِلْمِ قَائِمًا بِالْقِسْطِ
"Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge — [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice." (Sūrat Āl ʿImrān, 3:18)
The impossibility of circularity (dawr) and infinite regress (tasalsul) in the chain of causation demonstrates that existence must ultimately ground in a Being that is self-subsistent and uncaused. That Being is Allah. Contingent beings (mumkināt) derive their being entirely from Him and have no independent standing of their own; their very mode of being is borrowed or lent (wujūd 'āriyy).
اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ
"Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth." (Sūrat al-Nūr, 24:35) — Just as light illuminates everything while itself remaining distinct, the True Being of Allah is the ground of all existence while being entirely beyond comparison with contingent things.
