The Reference of 'Our Women' (نساؤنا کے مصداق)
أَنفُسَنَا وَأَنفُسَكُمْ
'Our souls and your souls' (Al-Imran 3:61). This verse of mubahala (mutual imprecation) invoked by the Prophet (peace be upon him) establishes the spiritual station of the Ahl al-Bayt. The phrase 'our women' (nisa'ana) refers to the closest and most beloved among the Prophet's family.
Difference Between Personal Interest and Expedience (غرض و مصلحت میں فرق)
There is a clear distinction between gharz (personal interest or motive) and maslahat (public or religious expedience). Acting for personal gain is blameworthy when it conflicts with one's duty; acting for the public good — the maslahat of the community — is praiseworthy. The jurists employ maslahat as a recognised principle in deriving rulings where explicit texts are silent.
Difference Between Obligatory (Wajib) and Command (Amr) (واجب اور امر میں فرق)
A wajib (obligation) is a duty whose performance is required and whose omission brings blame and punishment. An amr (command) is a broader category — it includes the obligatory but also the recommended. Not every divine command is an obligation in the strict juridical sense — the command may indicate recommendation (mandub) or mere permissibility (mubah). Understanding these categories is foundational in fiqh.
Preventing from the Truth (سچ سے روکنا)
One of the great spiritual diseases is to prevent others from the truth — whether out of jealousy, fear, or worldly interest. The scholar who conceals truth for the sake of those in power, or the elder who suppresses the sincerity of a student, bears a grave responsibility before Allah.
