The Arrangement of Destiny (تقدیر کا انتظام)
Every thing seeks its proper level — every thing tends toward what is fitting for it. This is the arrangement of destiny. Just as water flows downward and smoke rises upward, so too every created thing gravitates to its appropriate station. The divine arrangement sees to it that nothing is ultimately lost or misplaced.
Temporal, Perpetual, and Eternal Precedence (تقدم زمانی، دہری، سرمدی)
There are three kinds of precedence: temporal (zamani), perpetual (dahri), and eternal (sarmadi). The analogy of a key and lock — the key takes temporal precedence over the lock in the act of opening, but the lock was there before the key was needed. The divine names and attributes are related to creation in similar graduated ways. These distinctions are crucial for understanding the relationship between Allah's knowledge, will, and the coming-into-being of things.
