Bab Dala'il Nubuwwatihi
Proofs of His Prophethood and Signs of His Messengership
Translation:- This is also the statement of Allah Almighty: "He does not utter a single word except that a watcher is by him (ready to record)." (Meaning Kiraman Katibin).
*Bab: fi dala'il nubuwwatihi wa 'alamat risalatihi* This chapter is in description of the proofs of His Prophethood and the signs of His Messengership.
وَقَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : (فِى دُعَاءِ اِبْرَاهِيمَ) رَبَّنَا وَابْعَثْ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِّنْهُمْ يَتْلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ اٰيٰتِكَ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتٰبَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ إِنَّكَ اَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ ۔ (آیت ۱۲۹ - البقرۃ) *Translation:- And Allah Almighty states: (In the supplication of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS)) "Our Lord! Send among them a Messenger from themselves, who will recite to them Your verses and teach them the Book and wisdom and purify them. Indeed, You are the Exalted in Might, the Wise."*
وَقَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى : وَ إِذْ قَالَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ يٰبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ إِلَيْكُمْ مُّصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ مِنَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَ مُبَشِّرًا بِرَسُولٍ يَّأْتِي مِنْ بَعْدِي اسْمُهُ اَحْمَدُ فَلَمَّا جَاءَهُمْ بِالْبَيِّنٰتِ قَالُوا هٰذَا سِحْرٌ مُّبِينٌ ۔ (آیت ۶ - الصف) *Translation:- And this is also the statement of Allah Almighty: "And remember when Isa son of Maryam said, 'O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah sent to you, confirming the Torah before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad.' But when he came to them with clear proofs (meaning the miracles of the Prophet), they said, 'This is clear magic.'"*
I did not present. "Arz" also means to present conditions before a ruler, hence it became "Arzi" (application). كَبْوَةٌ: doubt, hesitation, dust. يَتَلَعْثَمْ: he hesitated. تَلَعْثُم يَتَلَعْثَمُ: to doubt and hesitate, stuttering of the tongue.
Translation:- It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) that he said, the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ stated that "I did not present Islam to anyone except that he had a doubt or hesitation (some delay in accepting), except Abu Bakr, for he did not hesitate in the least." (His tongue did not stutter). (This hadith is in Tirmidhi. It is also on page 123 of the second volume of Taysir).

Translation:- It is narrated from Bibi Aisha Siddiqa (RA) (in the hadith of the beginning of the first revelation) that "Then the Prophet ﷺ returned to Bibi Khadija (RA). His heart was trembling from this event. He started to shiver and said, 'Wrap me in a blanket, wrap me in a blanket,' so the people wrapped him in a blanket. Here, until the dread departed from his heart and he found comfort, he related the whole condition to Hazrat Khadija and informed her, 'I fear for my life.' Bibi Khadija said, 'Never! By God, Allah will never disgrace you. Surely you maintain ties of kinship, you speak the truth, you bear the burden of everyone, you entertain guests, you alleviate the hardships of the indigent, and you help people in their true calamities.'" (This hadith was narrated by both Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim. It is also in the second volume of Taysir).

Translation:- Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) narrated that Abu Sufyan bin Harb stated face to face with me that during the period of truce when there was a peace treaty between me and the Prophet ﷺ, in that era, I was in the land of Syria when the letter of the Prophet ﷺ which was sent to Heraclius and the leader of Busra had presented it before Heraclius, so Heraclius said is there anyone here from the nation of this person who claims prophethood? The people said yes! So I was summoned with a few companions to the court of Heraclius in a group of Quraysh. We were seated in front of him. Heraclius asked who is closest in lineage to this person who claims prophethood. Abu Sufyan said "I am". "So those people seated me in front of the king and seated my companions behind me. Then he called his interpreter. Then he said to him 'tell them that I am asking this person about the one who claims prophethood a few questions. If this person says something false to me, O companions! You must immediately belie him. Abu Sufyan said by God's oath if I did not have the fear that I would become famous for lying, I would not have hesitated to lie. Heraclius asked his interpreter to ask them how is his (the Noble Prophet's) lineage among you? I said he is of noble lineage among us. Then Heraclius asked

was there any king among his forefathers? I said "No". Then he asked "Did you ever accuse him of lying before his saying this?" I said "No". Then he asked "Are his followers the nobles or the weak people?" I said "The weak, helpless and poor people". "Then he asked "Do they increase day by day or decrease?" I said "They increase day by day". "Then he asked "Does anyone among them become displeased with his religion and turn back?" I said "No". "Then he asked "Have you ever fought a war with him?" I said "Yes". "Then he asked "So how was your war with them?" Abu Sufyan said "There is a turn-by-turn battle between us and them. Sometimes we suffer a loss and sometimes they do". Heraclius asked "Did he ever break a promise (betray)?" I said "No. And we are currently in a period of peace with them - do not know what he will do in this period". Abu Sufyan said, by God's oath I did not find any opportunity to add to this except for this one phrase. Heraclius asked "Did anyone claim this before him?" I said "No". "Then he told his interpreter to tell Abu Sufyan that I asked you regarding his lineage, so you mentioned that he is of high lineage among you. Prophets are indeed sent in high lineage among their people. I asked you if there was any king among his forefathers, so you said no. If there had been any king among his forefathers, I would have said that he is a person seeking to regain his father's and grandfather's kingdom. Then I asked you if his followers are weak people or nobles. So you said that they are poor and weak people. And the followers of prophets are these very people. I asked you if he was accused of lying before this talk? You said no. So I understood that when he did not lie about people, how could he lie about God? And I asked you if anyone among them turns back (apostatizes) after entering his religion? You said no, and when faith mixes with the joy of hearts, this is the condition of faith. And I asked you whether those people increase in numbers or decrease. So you said that they increase. So
