Bab fi Quwwatihi wa Qudratihi

Allah's Power and Ability

...there are hundreds, rather thousands, millions of Huffaz present who will immediately point out that a mistake has been made here. In the science of hadith, Ahad narrations or fabricated narrations have no importance to us compared to Mutawatir. The scholars of Ahadith have established the principles of the science of hadith in such a way that the distinction between falsehood and truth can be made. It is a different matter that we, due to our lack of knowledge, may not be able to know this difference. But the scholars of hadith can recognize it.

When hadith was examined in this way, then the Qur'an, whose protection Allah Almighty Himself took responsibility for, the very thought of any increase or decrease in it is unbecoming of a Muslim. Despite this, a few people of bad Aqeedah and prejudiced individuals spread this propaganda that some decrease has been made in the Qur'an. This propaganda of theirs is a Fitna and ruins Iman. Because it casts doubt on the responsibility of God. The Being of Allah Almighty is pure from these flaws and He does not break His promise. إِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُخْلِفُ الْمِيْعَادَ (*Indeed, Allah does not break His promise*).

بَابٌ: فِى قُوَّتِهِ وَ قُدْرَتِهِ وَ شُمُوْلِهَا جَمِيْعَ الْمُمْكِنَاتِ

This chapter is about the explanation of the power and ability of Allah Almighty and the issue that His power and ability encompass and dominate all possibilities and creations.

قَالَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالَى: وَاللّٰهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ - (آیت 189 - آلِ عمران) Translation:- Allah Almighty says: *"And Allah is capable of all things."*

قَالَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالَى: بَلَى قَادِرِيْنَ عَلَى أَنْ نُّسَوِّىَ بَنَانَهُ - (آیت 4 - القیامۃ) Translation:- Allah Almighty says, *"Yes indeed! We are able to perfectly reconstruct even his fingertips."* (We have the ability to make everything perfectly from head to toe along with its necessary organs with proportion. Who has the audacity to even make a single wing of a fly. Even if all the scientists of the world joined together, they could not make a single leg or wing of the lowliest of creations, even a fly or a mosquito).

وَقَالَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالَى: وَهُوَ الْقَوِىُّ الْعَزِيْزُ - (آیت 19 - الشوریٰ) Translation:- And Allah Almighty says, *"And He is the Strong, the Powerful, the Mighty, the Dominant and the Supreme."*

وَقَالَ تَعَالَى: وَ إِنَّا عَلَى أَنْ نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقَادِرُوْنَ - (آیت 95 - مومنون) Translation:- And Allah Almighty also says, *"And We are certainly able to show you what We have promised them."*

وَقَالَ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِيْنُ - (آیت 58 - الذاریات) Translation:- And it is also the command of the Creator, *"Indeed, Allah Himself is the Provider, Possessor of power, Firm and Resolute."*

وَقَالَ تَعَالَى: قُلْ فَمَنْ يَّمْلِكُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْئًا إِنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُّهْلِكَ الْمَسِيْحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَأُمَّهُ وَ مَنْ فِى الْأَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا - (آیت 17 - المائدۃ) Translation:- And it is also the command of Allah Almighty, *"O Prophet! Just ask these people who is there who could prevent it if Allah Almighty intended to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, and his mother, and all those who live and dwell on the earth."* Meaning, is there anyone who could deter Allah from this intention and save people from destruction? Astaghfirullah. *Iradat-ul-Lahi Ghalibun 'Ala Iradat-in-Nas* (Allah Almighty's intention is more dominant than the intention of creation). There, the divine command of *"Kun"* (Be) occurred and the thing appeared in the form of *"Fayakoon"* (So it is). The noble Sufis express it like this, "The manifestation of the divine Name appeared upon the reality of the thing, such that the thing manifested with its *A'yan-e-Thabita* (fixed realities).

أَنْ يَّقُوْلَ لَهُ كُنْ فَيَكُوْنُ O

وَقَالَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيْدُ - (آیت 1 - المائدۃ) Translation:- Allah Almighty says, *"Certainly, Allah ordains what He intends."*

وَقَالَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالَى: هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَّبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِّنْ فَوْقِكُمْ وَمِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَّ يُذِيْقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ - (آیت 65 - انعام) Translation:- And the divine command is also thus, *"Allah Almighty has full power to send torment upon you from above you and from beneath your feet. And to confound you into groups and make you clash with each other,"* meaning, make some fight with others and make them taste the severity.

وَقَالَ اللّٰهُ تَعَالَى: إِنَّهُ عَلَى رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ - يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ - فَمَالَهُ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَّلَا نَاصِرٍ - (آیت 8 تا 10 - الطارق)

Vocabulary: *Raja'a*: he returned. *Raja'a Yarji'u Raj'an Wa Ruju'an*: to return, to come back, to come again. *Yawm*: day. *Tubla*: to be tested and tried. *Sara'ir*: (plural of *sareerah*: secret) secrets. *Yawm tubla as-sara'ir*: the day secrets will be exposed, the whole truth will be revealed, the day secrets will be tested. On the Day of Qiyamah, many such things will become apparent that were not even imagined. One's own...

...actions will come before him in such a way that he will not be able to hide them.

Translation:- And Allah Almighty says, *"Indeed He, Allah, is able to return him (man) to life (raise him up again after he dies and becomes dust and particles)."* (This recreating and gathering will happen on the Day when all hidden matters will be exposed. Then this person will neither have the power to defend himself nor will he have any helper).

O friends! From these verses, God Almighty's absolute power and His autonomy in His power and might is proven. Allah Almighty's intention prevails over all creation, and His every action is based on absolute wisdom and perfect knowledge, and His every command is final and certain. In the encompassment of His power are all the worlds, whether it is the heavenly space or the terrestrial and aquatic universe, or the creation of Jupiter and Mars, or of Mercury and Saturn; all these existences are the creation of that Unique Creator and Matchless Powerful One. The Creator of them all is Allah Almighty Himself, who is Powerful and Strong in every way, without partner and without equal. Previous nations had rejected the resurrection after death, so being heedless of the concern for tomorrow and like an unbridled camel, they had completely immersed themselves in the adornments of this worldly life. Their ostentatious scholars and self-appointed guides exerted all their effort merely on making people spend this worldly life in arbitrary comfort and luxury, and to make the nation heedless of the salvation of the hereafter, they had convinced them that as long as you live, enjoy yourselves fully, oppress to your heart's content, but before dying, please these supposed leaders by giving them offerings so that they write a letter of recommendation to accompany the dead, and through it, the angels of that realm would deliver them to their imaginary heaven without any questioning. These leaders had instilled this belief in the minds of their nation in such a way that despite the glad tidings and warnings of the true guides and Prophets of God, that false presumption could not be removed. Due to the continuous explanation and continuous preaching of the Prophets (AS), a small group would come to the straight path, but the majority remained engrossed in this deep slumber, and ultimately the divine punishment would reprimand them. That is why in the Qur'an too, attention has been drawn to the resurrection after death repeatedly and in various ways. Despite this, even today in the world, attempts are made to escape this belief in various ways. Sometimes with the thought that "no bamboo means no flute" (remove the root cause), even the corpse of the deceased is burned and its ashes are scattered across the sea, thinking that perhaps if the ashes remain, it might be possible to resurrect them by gathering its particles. And when even the ashes do not remain, then how can resurrection take place? At least human intellect is not ready to accept it, because everyone is getting caught in the epidemic of materialism, and it is understood that if matter remains, then changes can be possible from it. And when the matter itself is destroyed, then what? Because human intellect had asked in astonishment, which the Qur'an stated as "قَالَ مَنْ يُّحْيِ الْعِظَامَ وَهِىَ رَمِيْمٌ O" (The questioner had brought a decayed bone of a dead person in his hand to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "Can such decayed bones also be brought to life?" So the divine command came, قُلْ يُحْيِيْهَا الَّذِىْ أَنْشَاَهَا أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيْمٌ O (O Prophet! Say that He (God) will give them life Who produced them the first time, and He has the best knowledge of every creation). These bones, rather even if they become ashes, and of it a single...
