بَابٌ : فِيْ فَضْلِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ وَالْإِشَارَةِ إِلَى خِلَافَتِهِ This chapter is regarding the virtues of Hazrat Uthman bin Affan and also in the context of the indication towards his caliphate.
`خَلْعِ` : to take off, extract. `تَلْقَانِيْ` : you meet me. Translation :- The statement of Mustafa ﷺ is: "O Uthman! Indeed, Allah the Exalted will clothe you with a shirt. If the hypocrites intend for you to take it off, do not take it off by any means until you meet me. That is, do not take off this robe of caliphate until death."
مَاضَرَّ عُثْمَانَ مَاعَمِلَ بَعْدَ هٰذَا الْيَوْمِ أَبَدًا - (ابونعيم فى فضائل الصحابة عن ابن عمر - كنز ج ۶) Vocabulary :- `مَاضَرَّ` : will not harm. `أَبَدًا` : forever, ever. Translation :- The statement of Mustafa ﷺ is that whatever Uthman does after today, it will never harm him. *(Abu Nu'aym has narrated this hadith from Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) in the context of the virtues of the Companions, and it is also in the sixth volume of Kanz al-'Ummal)*
`لِمَنْ هٰذَا` : for whom is this? Translation :- The Noble Prophet ﷺ stated, "I entered Paradise and what do I see but a palace in front of me made of gold, pearls, and rubies. I asked, 'For whom is this?' So they said, 'For the caliph who will be unjustly killed after you, meaning Uthman bin Affan.'" *(Ibn Adi narrated it in al-Kamil and Ibn Asakir has also taken it, and it is also in Kanz al-'Ummal vol 6)*
