بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

93:1

وَالضُّحَىٰ

(۱) قسم ہے روشن دن کی۔

(1) By the bright morning hours (the forenoon).

93:2

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ

(۲) اور قسم ہے رات کی جب وہ چھاجائے۔

(2) And by the night when it spreads and covers (in stillness).

93:3

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ

(۳) (تمہارے دشمن چند روز وحی کے نہ آنے سے خوشیاں مناتے ہیں) نہ خدا نے تم کو چھوڑا اور ناخوش ہے نہ ناخوش ہے۔

(3) (Your enemies rejoice at the pause of revelation, yet:) your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you.

93:4

وَلَلْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ الْأُولَىٰ

(۴) اور بے شک تمہاری اگلی حالت پچھلی حالت سے بہتر ہے۔

(4) And indeed your latter state is better than your former.

93:5

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰ

(۵) اور عنقریب تم کو تمہارا خدا اتنا دے گا (کہ خوش ہوجاؤ گے) خوش ہوجاؤ گے (باغ باغ ہوجاؤ گے)۔

(5) And soon your Lord will give you so abundantly that you will be pleased (and overjoyed).

93:6

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَآوَىٰ

(۶) کیا تم کو یتیم نہ پایا۔ پھرتم کو پناہ دی (اپنے فضل و کرم کے دامن میں لے لیا)۔

(6) Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter (taking you under the wing of His grace and favour)?

93:7

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَالًّا فَهَدَىٰ

(۷) اور تم سرگشتہ محبت تھے (غارِحرا میں بیٹھ کر یاد الہٰی میں) منہک تھے) پس (ہم نے تم کو) (اپنا) راستہ دکھلایا۔ (وحی سے سرفراز کیا۔ اور تم پیغمبر ہیں)۔

(7) And you were wandering in love (absorbed in divine remembrance, secluded in the cave of Ḥirā') — and We showed you (Our own) path (and honoured you with revelation, and you are the Prophet).

93:8

وَوَجَدَكَ عَائِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ

(۸) اور تم کو عیال دار پایا پھر بے پرواہ کردیا۔

(8) And He found you with dependants and made you free of want.

93:9

فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ

(۹) پھر یتیم پر ستمگری نہ کرو۔

(9) So do not oppress the orphan.

93:10

وَأَمَّا السَّائِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ

(۱۰) اور پھر کسی سائل اور مانگنے والے کو نہ جھڑکو۔

(10) And do not rebuff any petitioner or beggar.

93:11

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ

(۱۱) اور اپنے پروردگار کی نعمت (اور عطیے) کو بیان کرو۔

(11) And proclaim the bounty (and gifts) of your Lord.
