بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

97:1

إِنَّا أَنزَلْنَاهُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ

(۱) بے شک ہم نے اس کو (یعنی قرآن کو) شبِ قدر میں اتارنا شروع کیا۔

(1) Surely We began sending it (the Qur'ān) down on the Night of Power.

97:2

وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ

(۲) اور تم کیا جانولیلۃ القدر کیا ہے؟

(2) And what will make you know what the Night of Power is?

97:3

لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ

(۳) لیلۃ القدر ہزار مہینوں سے (یعنی ان میں عبادت کرنے سے) بہتر ہے۔

(3) The Night of Power is better than a thousand months (of worship performed in them).

97:4

تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ

(۴) اس رات فرشتے اور روح اپنے رب کے حکم سے ہر کام کے لئے اترتے ہیں۔

(4) On that night the angels and the Spirit descend by permission of their Lord for every matter.

97:5

سَلَامٌ هِيَ حَتَّىٰ مَطْلَعِ الْفَجْرِ

(۵) سلامتی ہے فجر تک، (صبح تک)۔

(5) It is peace until the rise of dawn.
