102. Al-Takāthur

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

102:1

أَلْهَاكُمُ التَّكَاثُرُ

(۱) تم کو زیادہ طلبی نے بیکار اور لغو کاموں میں لگادیا۔

(1) The greed for accumulation has distracted you and kept you busy with vain and futile pursuits.

102:2

حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ الْمَقَابِرَ

(۲) یہاں تک کہ تم قبروں میں پہنچ گئے۔

(2) Until you reached the graves.

102:3

كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

(۳) ہرگز نہیں! تم (اس شوق اور حرص مال و دولت کے نتیجے) عنقریب جان لوگے۔

(3) By no means! You will soon come to know (the consequence of this greed and love of wealth).

102:4

ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

(۴) ہاں ہاں! پھر عنقریب (حرص مال و دولت کے نتیجے) دیکھ لوگے (دنیا میں بھی دیکھو گے اور آخرت میں بھی)۔

(4) Yes indeed! Then you will soon see (the consequence of your greed for wealth — in this world and in the next).

102:5

كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ الْيَقِينِ

(۵) نہیں، ہرگز نہیں! اگر تم (اور شوق دولت کی برائیوں پر غور کرتے تو اس پر فریفتہ نہ ہوتے ، اس کے دیوانے نہ بن جاتے)۔ یقینی علم رکھتے۔

(5) Nay, by no means! If you reflected (on the evils of greed for wealth you would not be besotted by it or become its slaves) — if you had certain knowledge.

102:6

لَتَرَوُنَّ الْجَحِيمَ

(۶) تم ضرور (شوق دولت اور حرص مال کے نتیجے کو دوزخ کی صورت میں) دیکھو گے۔

(6) You will certainly see the Blazing Fire (as the consequence of your greed for wealth and love of accumulation).

102:7

ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ الْيَقِينِ

پھر تم دوزخ کو ضرور دیکھوگے اور یقین کی آنکھوں سے دیکھوگے۔

Then you will surely see it (Hell) with the eye of certainty.

102:8

ثُمَّ لَتُسْأَلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ النَّعِيمِ

پھر (اللہ نے) تم کو جو نعمتیں دی ہیں ۔ ان کے متعلق تم سے سوال ہوگا، پوچھو ہوگی۔

Then, on that Day, you will certainly be questioned about the blessings (that Allah has granted you).
