107. Al-Māʿūn

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

107:1

أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِالدِّينِ

کیا تم نے اس شخص کو بھی دیکھا جو جزا کا قائل نہیں۔

Have you seen the one who denies [the Day of] Recompense?

107:2

فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي يَدُعُّ الْيَتِيمَ

پس، ایسا (شخص) یتیم بچہ کو دھکے دے کر ذلیل کر کے نکال دیتا ہے۔

So that is the one who harshly repulses the orphan [pushing him away with contempt].

107:3

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَى طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ

اور مسکین کو کھانا کھلانے کی (کسی کو) ترغیب بھی نہیں دیتا۔

And does not urge [others] to feed the poor.

107:4

فَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُصَلِّينَ

تو ایسے نمازیوں پر افسوس ہے۔

So woe to those worshippers [who pray].

107:5

الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَنْ صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ

جو اپنی نماز سے غافل ہیں۔

Those who are heedless of their prayers.

107:6

الَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَاؤُونَ

جو دکھاوا کرتے ہیں۔

Those who pray to be seen [by others, for show].

107:7

وَيَمْنَعُونَ الْمَاعُونَ

اور چھوٹی چھوٹی چیزوں کو عاریتاً دینے سے بھی روکتے ہیں۔

And withhold [even] small everyday necessities [refusing to lend common household items].
