بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

103:1

وَالْعَصْرِ

زمانہ شاہد ہے (دنیا کی تاریخ گواہی دے گی)، میں جو کہتا ہوں، وہی ساری دنیا کہے گی، میں اور زمانہ بھی کہتا ہے۔

By [the witness of] Time (history will bear testimony to what I say; time itself will say the same).

103:2

إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ

بے شک انسان نقصان میں ہے (کلی کامیاب نہیں ہیں)۔

Verily, mankind is in loss (none are wholly successful).

103:3

إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ

مگر جو ایمان رکھتے ہیں اور نیک و مناسب کام کرتے ہیں اور باہم حق بات کی وصیت کرتے ہیں اور صبر واستقلال کی ہدایت کرتے ہیں۔

Except those who believe and do righteous and fitting deeds, and counsel one another to [hold fast to] truth, and counsel one another to patience and steadfastness.
